Education - School Choice Receiving Tuition
Some kids from other towns choose to attend Fitchburg's public schools instead of their own. Their home town has to pay Fitchburg tuition for that, and this is that payment coming in.
This dropped to $600,130 this year, about 19% less than the $741,026 it was in FY2025. Put another way: back in FY2019 this made up about 2.0% of State Aid — Education - today it's under 1%, a smaller slice than before.
